Customized Sunless Airbrush Tanning is the simplest, quickest and healthiest form of tanning! Airbrush tanning takes about 10 minutes and you're virtually dry by the very end. The best part? You see your color RIGHT AWAY, as well as, more color developing in as little as 8 hours but up to a 10-12 hour period! No more waiting 24 hrs before showering! Airbrushing, is for both men and women! Anyone and everyone, who wants a great looking tan without sitting in the harmful effects of a tanning bed or natural UV sun exposure.
No matter what the event or reason for an Airbrush tan, I will and always have recommended a trial run. For many, many reasons. If you've never had spray solution on your skin before, you have no idea how your skin is going to react and accept it. Even with store bought tanning products, THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. It's something your skin has never experienced before. Depending on a few personal factors, spray tanning may not be for everyone. It’s rare but some people will not be able to have a spray tan because their skin just will not allow. Even if you have had a spray application before, unless it's with the exact solution I use now, I still recommend a trial for any events. Better to be safe, than sorry. If you refuse or turn down a trial run before a major event or any event of any kind, a waiver will need to be signed, to understand the risks of not having the solution tried out ahead of time and not knowing what your results will and/or can be. You could be perfect or could turn out uneven. However, BRUSHED, will not be held responsible for whatever the result may be, for unknown factors. Trial run's are recommended a minimum of 2 weeks before your event. If you can do earlier, the better to let your skin exfoliate to a clean slate.
Prepping for an airbrushing session is super easy AND is essential to a great spray tan. Here are some important tips on how to prepare for you airbrush tan session.
DO”S
DO NOT’S
Before the session, I address any questions you may have and we pick a time frame to shower within, that best suits what your looking for., along with your desired color outcome. If you’re new to us, your first session is booked as a New Client Spray Tan. This gives us approx 30 mins, to get you established as a client. We review the solution types, timeframe, what to expect before., during and after, so you have knowledge for all future visits. Once your first session is established, you then further book as a Returning/Existing Client. Your sessions thereafter, will be approx 15 mins and we briefly discuss your last tan and if you want to do the same, or change up solutions!
Once back in the room and session has started, I communicate with you the whole time and continue to give you instructions on how I need you to "pose" to get the best and most even application possible. You're never going in "blind" or have to hope to remember any specific poses like you would with an automatic booth. From the moment I start the application, you'll instantly see the brown color start to develop.
YOU WILL NOT TURN ORANGE AND/OR ANY SHADE OF ORANGE FROM THE DHA IN OUR SOLUTIONS!
As soon as I'm finished, you can see your color right away and your tan line to see just how dark you have become. Please keep in mind, this is all cosmetic color! Your body needs time to develop the true end result color. For the Rapid Tans, let leave on 1-4 hrs, depending upon the darkness desired. To be noted with the Rapid Tan, you WILL see the bronzer wash off in the shower. It is designed to do this. You'll see the color come back around slowly after showering. Again, as noted above, NO BAR SOAPS!! It's designed for ladies who do not like to let bronzer sit on their skin long periods of time, before showering. Shades and timing of color are below:
SITS ON SKIN 1-4 HOURS, BEFORE RINSING (NO SOAP FOR FIRST RINSE!!)
1 hr = Light / 2 hr = Medium / 3 hr = Med/Dark / 4 hr+ = Dark
The longer you let your tan absorb in before showering, the longer/darker it will be long term on your skin.
You will see some of the "cosmetic" bronzer wash off in the shower. This doesn't mean that you no longer have color! Your skin soaked up a very large amount of that solution, that's just the remaining solution that your skin could not accept. If you think you've lost color after your shower, WAIT A FEW HOURS AFTER! 99% of clients see their color bounce back in under 5 hours. Hot water, in general will make your both your current tanning bed tan and/or spray tan fade for a short while but it does bounce back. Do NOT use a loofah as it will fade your tan unevenly and may cause very bad spotting. Use something softer like a washcloth and bodywash. I would only recommend using a loofah, if you completely want your tan off, or if you plan on getting a newer application of a spray tan again. REMEMBER TO MOISTURIZE, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! Use a pure moisturizer, nothing with a perfume/fragrance/parabens. If there should be any reason that you may not like your spray tan, you can immediately shower, to stop the process of it developing on your skin. Minor blemishes can and sometimes do happen on the skin for a number of different reasons. THIS WILL BLEND IN! DO NOT TOUCH AND/OR TRY TO RUB INTO YOUR SKIN YOURSELF. YOU WILL CREATE BLEMISHES TO YOUR SPRAY TAN. The solution is VERY temperamental immediately after the spray and will continue to be that way all the way up to showering. So, please, be careful with changing, any vigorous activities, and while/after showering. As soon as you shower, any "beading," "blemish marks" or "solution running", will blend as soon as you get in the shower. It's just the cosmetic bronzer gathering in excess on the skin and it needs a while to settle on the skins surface.
Solutions for people that may have trouble removing their airbrush tan completely:
Chlorine, is and always will be the best way to try to completely get rid of spray tans. Hot tubs and pools really help to remove tans, if for any reason you need your tan completely off.
Another solution that I get feedback on is using olive oil and a moisturizing body scrub. Either before the shower, or while in, put the olive oil on spots that need removed, or your whole body. Let it soak for about 5 minutes, or longer if needed. After it has soaked, use the body scrub to scrub away the tan. Rinse and repeat as needed. However, do not rub your skin raw!
Pumice stones and vinegar, rubbing alcohol and/or hydrogen peroxide help to remove any spray tan that may get on hands, wrist bones and the bottom of the wrist, feet and ankle bones.
There are different opinions on loofah's. They can occasionally leave you rather splotchy and my personal opinion is using a wash cloth over a loofah.
Your new spray tan will last about 7-10 days OR LONGER.
IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW WELL YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR TAN.
Lash Extensions, can last 2-4 weeks; depending upon time of year, your natural lash exfoliation cycle and daily care of your new lashes. A full set of Faux Mink Lashes means they're soft, dark, fluffy and fluttery. They can either be natural or dramatic - short, medium or long, slight or dramatic curl, thick or thin, whichever you prefer. They're customized totally to you. The Full Set application takes about 1-1.5 hours for a Natural Full Set, 1.5-2 hrs for the Luxe Full Set and 2-2.5 for a Volume Full Set, depending upon how full your lashes are. The reason it can take so long, is due to it being attached to each individual lash. They're not clusters, flairs, strips, pre-made fans, etc. They work like getting a set of Acrylic Nails. You get a Full Set and maintain with Fills. Fills are as needed and just to maintain them. They are recommended every 2-3 weeks, depending upon your natural lash shedding cycle AND your environment. When done correctly, they do not hurt your natural eyelashes and the extensions fall out when your natural lashes do or can be safely removed with a gel remover.
The adhesive takes a full 24 hours to cure/bond. New clients, I recommend a fill, 2 weeks after your first initial Full Set. This will be to determine how well they are holding up for you and talk over your daily routines to see how we can further tweak to make your extensions last even longer and to see if we can start to prolong your fills even further apart! Baby them as best as possible, during those weeks and keep them clean!
***PLEASE BE SURE TO COME TO YOUR APPT WITH A CLEAN FACE AND NO MAKEUP ON!***
I cannot stress this enough. This is very important so that time is not taken away from your fill or full set. The more time we have to spend getting products off, unfortunately, may mean the less lashes you will have put on at your appt! This includes any type of liquid foundation or mineral powder, as it may not allow the tape or gel patches to fully stick to keep the lower lashes down and out of the way!
Below are some Do's & Do Not's:
DO:
Use a water based mascara and makeup remover
Keep dry for 24 hours after application
See your tech to remove any undesired lashes vs at home self removal
Schedule every 2-3 weeks for a Fill
Brush them out gently every day in the mornings and/or after a shower. However, do not over brush.
Make sure you are washing your lashes with soap and water. Simply using make up removal wipes will not work to prevent build up and possible bacterial infection due to hygiene.
Try to sleep on your back vs. on your side or stomach
Avoid direct heat on your lash extensions (ex: hair dryers, BBQ's, opening ovens)
DO NOT:
Use any oil based eye products, creams or waterproof mascara, as it will break down the adhesive
Perm, tint or use an eyelash curler while extensions are on
Pull or rub at your lashes
Go for more than 4 weeks for a Fill to avoid having to get a whole new set
Let your lashes dry clumped together after getting wet
Scrub your eyes when washing your face
Sleep on your face
Pull tight clothing directly over the eyes
